well this one was shot with a manual SLR camera (flim), so for this certain picture I had a telephoto lens on, which brings the subject about 4x closer. but if I had used a digital camera, I would have used optical zoom, yes :)

Is this course at your school digital photography?

What got me into photography... oh gosh... that is a good question!
lol I gotta think about this one...

okee well this is what i've come up with lol .... I've always been into art, sketching, drawing, painting, etc, photography is also a form of art, but I had never really been into it... i guess I didn't quite realize the potential it had as art...basically.
I had a stupid little Fugi camera that i would use for general picture taking at the time... it was a piece of crap so I decided to go out and buy a nicer more advanced digital camera...and everything just started to take off from there... i wasnt using my camera to take silly snap shots anymore, every picture I took was a piece of art, it meant something..and that's when I realized that art is everywhere... you just gotta have a creative mind.
Then I got working at a photography store, where I learned A LOT!!
and then I started taking photography courses in school, which are a lot different then what I had been used to because these classes that i'm taking are film photography, therefore shot with an old school 35mm camera, and then we develop the film and enlarge the prints ourselves (which is super cool!!! i love it!)

anyways... sorry if i bored you, lol but I assume that's how I got into photography.
no one really inspired me, I just kinda discovered it on my own , u know
